Bloomfield Hills, Mich. - Transactional financial consulting and turnaround management firm O'Keefe and Associates today announced Kevin Lucey has earned the Certified Financial Forensics (CFF) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Lucey is a Detroit resident and graduate of Alma college, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and management.  He joined O' Keefe & Associates in 2009.  Lucey also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal auditor (CIA).

According to the American Institute of Certified public Accountants, the CFF designation combines specialized forensic accounting expertise with the core knowledge and skills that make CPAs among the most trusted business advisers.

The CFF encompasses fundamental and specialized forensic accounting skills that CPA practitioners apply in a variety of service areas, including: bankruptcy and insolvency, computer forensics, economic damages, family law, fraud prevention, detection and deterrence, financial statement misrepresentation, and valuations.
