Matt’s experience as a financial leader in public accounting and industry serves as a strong base to provide creative solutions to client problems.  He quickly analyzes client situations, performs detailed analysis and builds financial models needed in turnaround consulting, forensic accounting, and bankruptcy and insolvency services.

Mr. Thiede joined O’Keefe after 15 years of experience working in public accounting, manufacturing and service companies at all stages in their life cycle.  He has extensive experience as a financial leader in acquisition due diligence, and subsequent integration in public and privately held businesses.  Over the past eight years he has worked in three turnaround situations, two of which he served as the Director of Finance in private equity backed companies: Powermate Corporation and Knape & Vogt.  His experience in negotiating complex credit facilities in this difficult credit market proves to be invaluable to his clients.
 
Mr. Thiede is a CPA in the State of Illinois and holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in Chicago, Illinois.
