Ms. Armstrong has over 20 years of experience as a business leader, strategist and transaction expert. She excels at driving growth through business development and market expansion. She has significant experience in bankruptcy, workouts, restructuring and M&A transactions, spin-offs and strategic growth initiatives.
Previously, Ms. Armstrong served as the Executive VP of Strategic Planning for a $2.5 billion automotive supplier. As part of the restructuring team, she developed and directed the company’s first bottoms-up cost reduction plan, created and lead several new growth initiatives, and lead a team in the development of a five-year business plan which addressed core products, technology and markets. She also developed plans for spin-offs, joint venture alliances and the outsourcing and divestitures of non-core products and businesses as part of the restructuring plan.
Prior to that, Ms. Armstrong served as the Director of Business Development for a turnaround firm in Michigan. In this role, she grew revenue by 25% within the first year by expanding the firm’s Michigan presence into the Midwest and Northeast markets and expanded the client base to include large financial institutions, private equity groups, creditors’ committees and national law firms. Ms. Armstrong also served as Senior Counsel for PNC Bank where she worked to turnaround distressed companies, restructured multimillion-dollar troubled loans and managed liquidation plans. Prior to PNC, Ms Armstrong was law clerk to the Honorable Henry H. Dickinson for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
Ms. Armstrong has also purchased and sold companies out of bankruptcy. She spent the last two years assisting businesses with refinancing, raising capital, workouts and strategic planning for spin-offs and M&A transactions. Ms. Armstrong has a JD and BSBA in Accounting from the University of Louisville Law School and Business School.
